4 Dimensions of Quran

The development of research on the Qur'an during the last 100 years continued to show progress. Many discoveries that enrich the repertoire of  Quran sciences. This makes it more interesting to study the Quran. Correlate with quran research, Fahmi Basya Hamdi (Indonesian quran researcher) divine Quran at least in Four Dimensions :
  • 1st Dimension : Writing

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah (02:2)-

The oldest Quran, known as The Ottoman manuscripts, can found in Samarqand, UZBEZKISTAN. Now we can imagine, this is the writing manuscripts there is no doubt within, even to the single letter. Because of  it's no doubt, it allows us to count the number of  letters Qoran, which cannot be if counting only from reading. Thus, the Qur'an can be used as a reliable scientific data, because it has the accuracy of the letter.

The revelation of the Book is from Allah , the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (45:2)

  • 2nd Dimension : Reading
We have been this misperception by this READING. We always thought he was ordinary reading,  but it is a wonderful reading. So, if you have a Qoran at home, never read, it means you have only a first dimension of Quran.

Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Qur'an progressively. (76:23)

Assuredly We (nahnu reiterates the subject of innā, ‘assuredly, for the purpose of emphasis; alternatively it is a separating pronoun) have revealed the Qur’ān to you as a gradual revelation (tanzīlan is the predicate of inna, ‘assuredly’), in other words, We have divided it into parts instead of not revealing it all at once.

Based on Quran, this is the reading:

a. Reading which cannot made by Jinn and or Human

Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants."  (17:88)
b. Reading which makes mountains break apart

If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah . And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought. (59:21)

  • 3rd Dimension : Meaning
A person who receives the message, need to know the meaning of the message. The question is: "How to interpret the meaning of words in the Quran?" Quran itself answer this question with verse:

And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation. (25:33)

In the Qur'an described the Meaning of words and The Qur'an describes this way: Make example sentences. For example:

1. NOT PERCEIVE

To know the best meaning of those words, we need to know the story of Solomon and his troops when they came at the Ant Hills, as described in:

Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not."
27:18

So if you want to know the meaning of a word in Quran, then you can open the pages and find out the meaning by analyze the word in another verse or Surah. And with Allah permition, you will able to know the meaningful word in one ayah by another ayah. That's way Quran also said by God as the Best explanation.

  • 4th Dimension : Fact
the keyword ---> AYAH = VERSE = CODE

For every happening is a finality; and you are going to know
(6:67)

And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time."
(38:88)

And there are so many facts in the universe. We will know the information after a time. For example, in 16th century, people didn't know that earth is round. They believe that the earth is flat and as the center of the milky way. But it's abandoned in 19th century after Heliocentris theory prooved by science.

In the Qur'an it is said that the Prophet Zechariah asked for the code have a son, so God gives the CODE.

[Zechariah] said, "My Lord, make for me A CODE." He said, "Your CODE is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, [being] sound." (19:10)

In fact dimensions, verses  as CODE , not writings. We can see again that sign (ayah) mean CODE, from this Quran statement:

We will show them Our CODES in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness? (41:53)

Legend of Solomon: The Great Air Bender

Who does not know the great power of Solomon? As the successor David's kingdom,  Allah gives him many privileges which confirms it as a ruler without a battle. Almost all facilities owned and controlled by him under Allah's permition. Solomon managed to master the technology of metal management (al-qithr) and can control the wind as a means of transportation (Air Bender).

And, We disposed, for Solomon the wind (the nominative reading of al-rīhu would be based on an implicit [missing verb] sakhkharnā, ‘We disposed’) its morning course, meaning its journey from the morning to the noon, was a month’s journey and its evening course, that is, its journey from the noon to sunset, was a month’s journey. And We caused a fount of [molten] copper to flow for him, in other words, We caused the copper to melt for him, and so the fount flowed for three days and nights like water, and to this day people have been using of that [copper] which was given to Solomon [at that time]. And of the jinn [there] were those who worked before him by the leave, by the command, of his Lord. And such of them as deviated from Our command, to him to obey him [Solomon], We would make them taste the chastisement of the Blaze, the Fire in the Hereafter — but it is also said, [that their chastisement was] in this world, in which case an angel would smite one of them with a lash thereof that would scorch him.

And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind - its morning [journey was that of] a month - and its afternoon [journey was that of] a month, and We made flow for him a spring of [liquid] copper. And among the jinn were those who worked for him by the permission of his Lord. And whoever deviated among them from Our command - We will make him taste of the punishment of the Blaze. (34:12)

And, on one journey, Solomon’s hosts of jinn and humans and birds stood assembled for him as they were being arrayed, brought together [in groups] and marshalled.

And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows. (27:17)

When they came to the Valley of the Ants — which is [located] either in Saba, now we called Java Island, Indonesia, and whose ants are either small or large — an ant, the queen ant, who had seen Solomon’s hosts, said, ‘O ants, enter your dwellings, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you while they are unaware!’ — the ants are likened to rational beings in their use of the latter’s speech.

Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not." (27:18)

Whereat he, Solomon, smiled (fa-tabassama, the beginning [of the sentence]) amused (dāhikan, the end [of the sentence]) at its words, which he had heard from three miles away and which was carried to him by the winds. When he was on the verge of [entering] their valley, he [Solomon] made his hosts halt until they [the ants] had entered their dwellings — on this journey his hosts consisted of cavalry and infantry. And he said, ‘My Lord, inspire me to be thankful for Your grace with which You have favoured me and my parents, and to do good that will please You, and include me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants’, the prophets and saints.

So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants." (27:19)

Solomon also has the power to control Jin and Men to fashioned for him whatever he wished: lofty shrines (mahārīb are high edifices which are ascended by stairs) and statues (tamāthīl is the plural of timthāl, which is any thing which you fashion as a likeness [of another]), in other words, brass, crystal or marble figures — the use of figures was not prohibited according to his Law; and basins (jifān is the plural of jafna) like cisterns (jawābin is the plural of jābiya, which is a large basin)  — and cauldrons built into the ground, fixed with foundations, and cannot be moved from their places: these were made from the [rocks of the] mountains of Java, Indonesia and to which one ascended by climbing up a ladder. And We said: ‘Work, O, House of David, in obedience to God, in thankfulness, to Him for what He has given you. And few indeed of My servants are thankful’, labouring in obedience to Me in thanks for My favours.

They made for him what he willed of elevated chambers, statues, bowls like reservoirs, and stationary kettles. [We said], "Work, O family of David, in gratitude." And few of My servants are grateful. (34:13)
