Prayer Sentences Taken From Holy Quran (one)

1. Prayer After Building Kaaba

This kind of prayer is suggest to read after the completion of building houses, mosques, and other development.
Recounted in the Qur'an that Prophet Ibrahim a.s. read this prayer after the finish building the Baitul Haram (Kaaba). Overwritten at that time after the flood , Prophet Ibrahim and helped by his son Ishmael   rebuild the temple. When finished they both raised their hands while praying with prayer al above.

Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. (2:128)

2. Prayer for Goodness in the world and Hereafter

In the Tafseer of Ibn Kathir explained also that this prayer contains all the goodness in the world and the Hereafter, and spare of everything evil. Therefore this kind of prayer is read at every opportunity.

But among them is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." (2:201)

3. Prayer for Salvation

Ibn Katheer in his tafseer book, summarizes ten  hadiths about the primacy of reading the prayer above. Among these hadiths narrated from the Companions' Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, the Prophet. has said: "Whoever reads the final two verses Sura Al-Baqarah (verses 285-286) every night, then he will attain salvation." (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, Chapter I, page.340).

Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people." (2:286)

4. Prayer Avoiding Fallacy

4 Dimensions of Quran

The development of research on the Qur'an during the last 100 years continued to show progress. Many discoveries that enrich the repertoire of  Quran sciences. This makes it more interesting to study the Quran. Correlate with quran research, Fahmi Basya Hamdi (Indonesian quran researcher) divine Quran at least in Four Dimensions :
  • 1st Dimension : Writing

This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah (02:2)-

The oldest Quran, known as The Ottoman manuscripts, can found in Samarqand, UZBEZKISTAN. Now we can imagine, this is the writing manuscripts there is no doubt within, even to the single letter. Because of  it's no doubt, it allows us to count the number of  letters Qoran, which cannot be if counting only from reading. Thus, the Qur'an can be used as a reliable scientific data, because it has the accuracy of the letter.

The revelation of the Book is from Allah , the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (45:2)

  • 2nd Dimension : Reading
We have been this misperception by this READING. We always thought he was ordinary reading,  but it is a wonderful reading. So, if you have a Qoran at home, never read, it means you have only a first dimension of Quran.

Indeed, it is We who have sent down to you, [O Muhammad], the Qur'an progressively. (76:23)

Assuredly We (nahnu reiterates the subject of innā, ‘assuredly, for the purpose of emphasis; alternatively it is a separating pronoun) have revealed the Qur’ān to you as a gradual revelation (tanzīlan is the predicate of inna, ‘assuredly’), in other words, We have divided it into parts instead of not revealing it all at once.

Based on Quran, this is the reading:

a. Reading which cannot made by Jinn and or Human

Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants."  (17:88)
b. Reading which makes mountains break apart

If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and coming apart from fear of Allah . And these examples We present to the people that perhaps they will give thought. (59:21)

  • 3rd Dimension : Meaning
A person who receives the message, need to know the meaning of the message. The question is: "How to interpret the meaning of words in the Quran?" Quran itself answer this question with verse:

And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation. (25:33)

In the Qur'an described the Meaning of words and The Qur'an describes this way: Make example sentences. For example:

1. NOT PERCEIVE

To know the best meaning of those words, we need to know the story of Solomon and his troops when they came at the Ant Hills, as described in:

Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not."
27:18

So if you want to know the meaning of a word in Quran, then you can open the pages and find out the meaning by analyze the word in another verse or Surah. And with Allah permition, you will able to know the meaningful word in one ayah by another ayah. That's way Quran also said by God as the Best explanation.

  • 4th Dimension : Fact
the keyword ---> AYAH = VERSE = CODE

For every happening is a finality; and you are going to know
(6:67)

And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time."
(38:88)

And there are so many facts in the universe. We will know the information after a time. For example, in 16th century, people didn't know that earth is round. They believe that the earth is flat and as the center of the milky way. But it's abandoned in 19th century after Heliocentris theory prooved by science.

In the Qur'an it is said that the Prophet Zechariah asked for the code have a son, so God gives the CODE.

[Zechariah] said, "My Lord, make for me A CODE." He said, "Your CODE is that you will not speak to the people for three nights, [being] sound." (19:10)

In fact dimensions, verses  as CODE , not writings. We can see again that sign (ayah) mean CODE, from this Quran statement:

We will show them Our CODES in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth. But is it not sufficient concerning your Lord that He is, over all things, a Witness? (41:53)

Importance of Words in Quran: WONDER

We people are always attracted to the Wonders of Nature. The Wonders in the Quran, one of it is mentioned in Surah al-Kahf.

Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, a wonder?  ('Ajaban) (18:9)

And in surah Al-Jin, This was at the time of the morning prayer at Batn Nakhla, a location between Mecca and Tā’if — these [jinn] being those mentioned in God’s saying, And when We sent a company of jinn your way…’ [Q. 46:29] — listened, to my recitation, then said, to their people upon returning to them: “We have indeed heard a marvellous Qur’ān, whose clarity, the richness of its meanings and other aspects one marvels at,and Jin said that the Qur'an was a wonderful ('Ajaban) recitation.

As also mentioned in the surat Qof:2, that the Qur'an it is SOMETHING  WONDER

But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is a wonderful thing. (50:2)

How is it WONDER?.
This is where the importance of the word. Syai un 'ujab was repeated by wife of Abraham's when she would have a son, while she was an old woman.

She said, "Woe to me! Shall I give birth while I am an old woman and this, my husband, is an old man? Indeed, this is a wonderful thing!"  ('Ajiibun)   (11:72)

Then at this statement do you wonder? (53:59)

He said, "Did you see when we retired to the rock? Indeed, I forgot [there] the fish. And none made me forget it except Satan - that I should mention it. And it took its course into the sea wonderly" (18:63)

From those evidences, we can say that If people are to ask about something said in his language, he will get the correct answer, if the word he was looking for his counterpart in the Qur'an, because the Quran contains all the necessary words of human phenomena. Science, and The truth of Science, sustained by the consistency of every word .Without a consistency, Science will collapse.

And now, please have an attention to the number of surah and ayah belows:

It's Consistence and valid!

Establish Prayer and Be Patient

O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] determination. (Luqman 31:17)

Tafseer:
O my son! Establish prayer and enjoin decency and forbid indecency. And be patient through whatever may befall you, as a result of such enjoining and forbidding. Truly that, which is mentioned, is true constancy, in other words, that is one of those necessary things regarding which one must have firm resolve.

Why we Must be Patience?

Only the faithful understand the true nature of patience and live in the manner of which Allah approves, for they have accepted the Qur'an as their guide. And, only the Qur'an explains the real meaning of patience and the type of patience that is acceptable to Allah. For this reason, the only people capable of being "patient with a beautiful patience" are those who follow the Qur'an.

The source of their patience is their faith in Allah and their submission to Him. Like all of their other characteristics, patience emerges only through a true understanding of faith, because to believe is to understand that there is no deity but Allah, that He encompasses all things in His knowledge, that only Allah has the power to determine one's destiny, and that nobody can enjoy gain or suffer loss without His willing it.

One reason why the believers can show patience is because their faith enables them to appreciate Allah's might and glory. Those who know that Allah has boundless wisdom and boundless knowledge also know that only He can determine what will be the finest life for them. They know that Allah possesses all knowledge about all creatures and events in the past, present, and future, whereas people have only a limited intelligence that is prone to making mistakes in determining what is good and what is bad. In most cases, a seemingly unfavorable event may bring many benefits, although people may well be totally unaware of this. Allah points out this important truth:

"It may be that you hate something when it is good for you, and it may be that you love something when it is bad for you. Allah knows, and you do not know" (02216).

Thus, knowing that only Allah possesses this knowledge and wisdom, the believers put their trust in Him, fully aware that whatever He wills is always beneficial, even though the benefit may not be immediately apparent. Therefore, they display true patience. In other words, one characteristic of those who have true patience is that they are people who have grasped and embraced the nature of destiny.

Al Asmaaul Husna (Quranic Version)

In the Qur'an says that Allah has the Proper Names (Asmaaul-Husna)
and we humans are asked to call on God with it Asmaaul-Husna.It mentioned on Quran sorah 7:180, or we can say (we hope you accustomed with this kind spelling): DATA 07180. The sound of the verse is as follows:

And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them. And leave [the company of] those who practice deviation concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they have been doing. 07180

However, we have been accustomed to say that it is Asmaaul-Husna 99 from several people before us. Yet if we look at the Hadith that call, it turns out it was not mentioned in the hadeeth of the words "Names". In the hadith it only mentions the word "Isman" which means "NAME"

Indeed, Allah has 99 names, are 100-1, who gathered him in heaven(Saheeh Muslim, 2302)

The question then:"So how Asmaaul-Husna definition based on the Qur'an?".We humans really need to understand precisely how real-Husna Asmaaul said, because 7180 data were also told that we should leave people who are guilty of mistakes on his name.

And leave [the company of] those who practice deviation concerning His names (07:180)

Therefor to understand Asmaaul-Husna version of the Koran, we need to consider this statement:

There has already been for you an excellent pattern in Abraham and those with him.... (60:4)

Because the Prophet Abraham is a good example, then surely he is a good example also in prayer. And if he prayed would call Asmaaul-Husna. Therefore we consider the Qur'anic verse that exemplifies the Prophet Ibrahim prayed.

Our Lord, make us not [objects of] torment for the disbelievers and forgive us, our Lord. Indeed, it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise (Al Azziizul Hakiim)." (60:5)

From Data  60.4 and 60.5, giving meaning to us that defines that Abraham was Asmaaul-Husna formed in A pair of Name. This was evidenced in his other prayers with the Prophet Isma'il when just finished raising the walls of Kaaba

"Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed You are the Hearing, the Knowing.(Assamii'ul  'Aliim) (2:127)

And apparently there are 10 Prophets mentioned in the Quran which convey the couple's name, They are:

1.Prophet Abraham pbuh:
   (02127): Samii’ul-’Aliim
   (02128): Tawwaaburr-Rahiim
   (02129):’Aziizul-Hakiim
   (1436): Ghafuurur-Rahhim
   (6005): ’Aziizul-Hakiim

2. Prophet Joseph (Yusuf) pbuh:
   (1253) :Ghafuurur-Rahhim
   (12100):’Aliimul-Hakiim
   (1239):Waahidul-Qohh-hhaar

3. Prophet Jacob pbuh:
   (1283):’Aliimul-Hakiim
   (1298):Ghafuurur-Rahiim

4. Prophet Noah pbuh:
   (1141):Ghafuurur-Rahiim

5. Prophet Shu’aib pbuh:
   (1190):Rahiimun-Waduud

6. Prophet Lot pbuh:
   (029,026):’Aziizul-Hakiim

7. Prophet Moses pbuh:
   (014,008):Ghaniiyyun-Hamiid

8. Prophet Solomon pbuh:
   (027,030) :Rahmaanir-Rahiim
   (027,040):Ghaniiyyun-Kariim

9. Prophet Jesus pbuh:
   (005,118):’Aziizul-Hakiim

10. Prophet Sholeh pbuh:
   (011,061).Qoriibum-Mujiib

In the Quran there are 390 pair of those names again.

Legend of Solomon: The Great Air Bender

Who does not know the great power of Solomon? As the successor David's kingdom,  Allah gives him many privileges which confirms it as a ruler without a battle. Almost all facilities owned and controlled by him under Allah's permition. Solomon managed to master the technology of metal management (al-qithr) and can control the wind as a means of transportation (Air Bender).

And, We disposed, for Solomon the wind (the nominative reading of al-rīhu would be based on an implicit [missing verb] sakhkharnā, ‘We disposed’) its morning course, meaning its journey from the morning to the noon, was a month’s journey and its evening course, that is, its journey from the noon to sunset, was a month’s journey. And We caused a fount of [molten] copper to flow for him, in other words, We caused the copper to melt for him, and so the fount flowed for three days and nights like water, and to this day people have been using of that [copper] which was given to Solomon [at that time]. And of the jinn [there] were those who worked before him by the leave, by the command, of his Lord. And such of them as deviated from Our command, to him to obey him [Solomon], We would make them taste the chastisement of the Blaze, the Fire in the Hereafter — but it is also said, [that their chastisement was] in this world, in which case an angel would smite one of them with a lash thereof that would scorch him.

And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind - its morning [journey was that of] a month - and its afternoon [journey was that of] a month, and We made flow for him a spring of [liquid] copper. And among the jinn were those who worked for him by the permission of his Lord. And whoever deviated among them from Our command - We will make him taste of the punishment of the Blaze. (34:12)

And, on one journey, Solomon’s hosts of jinn and humans and birds stood assembled for him as they were being arrayed, brought together [in groups] and marshalled.

And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows. (27:17)

When they came to the Valley of the Ants — which is [located] either in Saba, now we called Java Island, Indonesia, and whose ants are either small or large — an ant, the queen ant, who had seen Solomon’s hosts, said, ‘O ants, enter your dwellings, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you while they are unaware!’ — the ants are likened to rational beings in their use of the latter’s speech.

Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not." (27:18)

Whereat he, Solomon, smiled (fa-tabassama, the beginning [of the sentence]) amused (dāhikan, the end [of the sentence]) at its words, which he had heard from three miles away and which was carried to him by the winds. When he was on the verge of [entering] their valley, he [Solomon] made his hosts halt until they [the ants] had entered their dwellings — on this journey his hosts consisted of cavalry and infantry. And he said, ‘My Lord, inspire me to be thankful for Your grace with which You have favoured me and my parents, and to do good that will please You, and include me, by Your mercy, among Your righteous servants’, the prophets and saints.

So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. And admit me by Your mercy into [the ranks of] Your righteous servants." (27:19)

Solomon also has the power to control Jin and Men to fashioned for him whatever he wished: lofty shrines (mahārīb are high edifices which are ascended by stairs) and statues (tamāthīl is the plural of timthāl, which is any thing which you fashion as a likeness [of another]), in other words, brass, crystal or marble figures — the use of figures was not prohibited according to his Law; and basins (jifān is the plural of jafna) like cisterns (jawābin is the plural of jābiya, which is a large basin)  — and cauldrons built into the ground, fixed with foundations, and cannot be moved from their places: these were made from the [rocks of the] mountains of Java, Indonesia and to which one ascended by climbing up a ladder. And We said: ‘Work, O, House of David, in obedience to God, in thankfulness, to Him for what He has given you. And few indeed of My servants are thankful’, labouring in obedience to Me in thanks for My favours.

They made for him what he willed of elevated chambers, statues, bowls like reservoirs, and stationary kettles. [We said], "Work, O family of David, in gratitude." And few of My servants are grateful. (34:13)

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding. (Surah Ali Imran: 190)
Tafsir al-Jalalayn
Surely in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the marvels contained in them, and in the alternation of night and day, coming and going, increasing and diminishing, there are signs, indications of God’s power, for people of pith, for people possessing intellects.
