1. Prayer After Building Kaaba
This kind of prayer is suggest to read after the completion of building houses, mosques, and other development.
Recounted in the Qur'an that Prophet Ibrahim a.s. read this prayer after the finish building the Baitul Haram (Kaaba). Overwritten at that time after the flood , Prophet Ibrahim and helped by his son Ishmael rebuild the temple. When finished they both raised their hands while praying with prayer al above.
Our Lord, and make us Muslims [in submission] to You and from our descendants a Muslim nation [in submission] to You. And show us our rites and accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. (2:128)
2. Prayer for Goodness in the world and Hereafter
But among them is he who says, "Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire." (2:201)
3. Prayer for Salvation
Ibn Katheer in his tafseer book, summarizes ten hadiths about the primacy of reading the prayer above. Among these hadiths narrated from the Companions' Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, the Prophet. has said: "Whoever reads the final two verses Sura Al-Baqarah (verses 285-286) every night, then he will attain salvation." Allah does not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people." (2:286)
4. Prayer Avoiding Fallacy
In the Quran explained, that this prayer is read by believer scientists who believe in the greatness of the Quran. And they pray to Allah SWT to remain in the path of righteousness, his heart did not incline to the error after getting instructions, and ask outpouring of His grace.
[Who say], "Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower. (3:8)
5. Prayer Husnul Khatimah (Best condition before we die)
This Prayer is good to read at every opportunity, especially at the middle of the night until near shubuh (dawn). Because this prayer also reads by Prophet Muhammad, when he awokes up from sleep, while looking at the sky. Thus the explanation of Al-Bukhari from Ibn 'Abbas.
Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller calling to faith, [saying], 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die with the righteous. (3:193)
